The Puerto Rico Weather Radar Network app is an easy and quick way off viewing live, high resolution, radar doppler data from a wide network of weather radar stations in Puerto Rico.

The PRWRN is part of a research project based at the University of Puerto Rico - Mayagüez campus. Led by professors and students from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of the UPRM, the PRWRN aims to change the way how weather forecast are made, increasing warning times for atmospheric events and accurately estimating rainfall levels.

To use the app, you just need to open it and select the radars from the network (if online), that you want to see on the map. The NOAA NEXRAD radar image will be shown by default in case you just want to quickly see the weather conditions.

This app is a great tool for weather amateurs and experts around Puerto Rico. It is also a great asset for first responders and meteorologists in cases when the NOAA NEXRAD is offline for maintenance.
